Butterfly Course: Session 2

Saturday, May 23, 2020 - 01:00 to 04:00

In this second of five sessions of the Butterfly Course presented by Farmscape Ecology Program and the Columbia Land Conservancy, we will guide participants to open woods and rocky barrens at Taconic State Park in search of habitat specialist butterflies that can be found there. We will discuss the different species that inhabit these places, and their ecology, phenology and conservation. This event requires easy to moderate hiking. Please bring water, snacks (if you'd like) and, if you have them, binocuolars and a camera. This event requires rain-free conditions and it will be rescheduled if needed.
