Ecology Walk at Hand Hollow

Saturday, October 24, 2015 - 10:00 to 12:00

Please join us for an exploration of the Pond on Gale Hill Road at the Hand Hollow Conservation Area in New Lebanon. We will look at trees in their fall foliage, the fall flowers (and leftovers of summer flowers) in the wetland and surrounding areas, and see if there is still some bird and insect life. This walk is free, but the number of participants is limited. So, please register early with fep@hawthornevalleyfarm.org or by calling Claudia (518-672-7994) to reserve your space and receive directions.

Please note: This walk was originally intented to focus on the Beaver Pond at the Route 9 entrance to Hand Hollow. However, because the eastern part of Hand Hollow is explored during the event on Sept. 26th, this walk will take you to the west part of Hand Hollow.
