The Germantown Library and Hawthorne Valley’s Farmscape Ecology Program offer this Winter Ecology Walk at the KEEP Conservation Preserve in Germantown on Friday, January 27, from 1-3 p.m. Ecologists Conrad Vispo and Claudia Knab-Vispo will lead a guided walk through the wintery meadows and woods. Together we will look for signs of animal life, learn how to identify some common trees and shrubs without their leaves, and see what is left of our wildflowers at this time of the year. The walk is free and all ages are welcome, but the number of participants is limited.
