SUMMARY:Meadow Work Day at the Forge Project
DESCRIPTION:Forge Project invites neighbors from the region to participate in a Meadow Work Day\, learning about and participating in some of the meadow tending work happening onsite. Basic plant identification will be led by allied botanists Claudia Knab-Vispo and Josie Laing of the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program. You will learn about the different management zones on the land\, which include established meadows and a savanna-like area where our task is to gently nudge the vegetation towards more diversity in native plants. You will also see a resently seeded wildflower meadow in the making. Introductions will be led at 4:15 PM and 5:45 PM – attendees are welcome to stay for the entire time. \nPlease go here to learn more about the event and to RSVP.
