DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 11\,  6:30pm at the FEP Creekhouse in Harlemville (directions here) \nCarla Rhodes\, former stand-up comedian and current wildlife photographer & conservationist\, will present a slideshow entitled\, Comedy to Conservation. Carla\, based near New Paltz in Ulster County\, is an amazing photographer of our regional wildlife\, as her portfolio illustrates. She has a fascination with flying squirrels\, shrews\, and moths\, among other creatures. She has published in The Washington Post\, Rolling Stone\, The Guardian\, Wall Street Journal\, Smithsonian and other publications. We invite you to join us for this in-person free event. Which native plants were seeded? Who are the native (and non-native) plants growing in the meadow now\, during its 6th season? Which pollinators visit their flowers? What have we learned from monitoring the vegetation development over the years? \nThis free event is sponsored by the Columbia Land Conservancy.
